This blog post I found via Digg details all the fantastic things about Sun's ZFS filesystem. The idea of plugging in another drive and just having it pool in with the space available on the original drive makes me weak in the knees. Sun's an awesome company. One bad thing about the emerging trend of using tons of consumer-grade PCs linked together and running Linux is the hit Sun's taken in the server market.
