Tempting Nokia toy

I hadn't really paid attention to the considerable buzz about Nokia's new N800. It seems like a pretty good deal at $399 (TigerDirect has it for 10 bucks off). For a desktop fanatic like me, though, this seems to make more sense for mobile Internet. About the only thing I do online these days are check Gmail and my numerous RSS feeds with Google Reader and I imagine this would suit those uses quite nicely. I don't like typing at length on laptop keyboards and one can't even find a decent laptop for less than $1,500.

And something that earns the N800 major points with me: it runs Debian Linux. Apparently battery life is a disappointing 3 hours, and away from wi-fi it's only good for jotting notes and watching movies and viewing pictures. Still, it's a neat little product.
